先に寺田屋が明治元年9月19日には営業していたことを示す仁礼景範日記を紹介いただいたSNSつながりの方から、ふたたび慶応4年3月15日に営業していたことを示す史料をご紹介いただきました。感謝です。
信州下諏訪社の神官であった井出日向守宣長の上京日記です。井出家に伝わるものを佐久史談会が戊辰戦争が勃発したあと、宮中内侍所の守衛にあたるように要請をうけて上京。2月22日に出発し、4月2日に帰郷しています。この間、3月2日に京都に着き、4日から参勤し、15日の朝に京都を発ちます。出立前の14日には神祇局から神仏分離に関する命令書を受け取りました。2週間ほどの奉仕でした。
寺田屋は3月15日条にでてきます。
吉田村谷伊兵衛殿宅出立。三条大橋角餅屋休み、同三条縄手を下り、伏見道いなり社参詣、同所茶屋にて昼飯、佐々木に離れ大に迷惑、余儀なく伏見へ出、舟場寺田屋休み。時は八ツ時なり、日暮れて出船、夜（四）ツ半頃大坂八軒屋京屋へ付く。
通常の伏見へ下るルートを行っています。途中で伏見稲荷を参詣したり、連れとはぐれたりと大変だったようです。はぐれたということは、それなりの通行量があったことがうかがえます。午後2時頃に寺田屋について、夜10時頃八軒屋に着きました。京屋というのは寺田屋と対になった船宿堺屋の隣にあった旅籠です。ここに泊まって翌日は四天王寺や幕軍撤退後の大坂城の惨状などを記録していますが、基本は大坂見物でした。更に翌日は奈良にはいってさんざん奈良見物をして、伊勢神宮を回り、名古屋を経由して諏訪にもどります。
しかし、彼らが物見遊山をしている一方、往路の中山道では東に進む薩摩軍に出会っています。中津川ではここに陣を敷いていた若干17歳の東山道鎮撫総督岩倉具定（具視の3男）の部隊と遭遇しています。戊辰戦争中で世の中は騒然としていた様子も記録されています。
このような混沌とした情勢でも淀川水運は機能していました。寺田屋も営業しています。
激戦直後は町中で被害が大きいところもあったことは記録にのこっていますが、全体としてみると、その被災の中心のひとつであった南浜からは、普通に通常通りの営業が再開したのではないかと思います。”かわら版”の被災地を示す赤く塗られた範囲がすべて完全に消失したというのではなさそうです。
井出宣長の日記は井出家に伝えられたものを佐久史談会（ネットで調べると既に解散のようです）が明治100年を記念して昭和43(1968)年に翻刻刊行したものです。
図は『寺田屋関係資料9種と若干のコメント』（2008年10月 京都市歴史資料館）に掲載された被災範囲を示すかわら版の図です。●のところが、寺田屋の位置にあたります。
